Slow Stitching Sunday

I decided that I wanted to do something I swore I would never do again, Counted Cross Stitch! Years ago, I started a complicated old world Santa table topper and I decided to use all different Santa patterns for the border and for the middle. I didn’t use the threads as in the patterns and it was so tiny to stitch the borders. It took me over 20 years to call it done and I still could do some additional stitching on it, but I decided it is done.

Then I saw Fat Quarter Shop do floss Tube and Cross Sitch University. I was still resistant, NOPE! But when the Great Granny Square along started, I did a free pattern. I was hooked and then Fat Quarter Shop asked me to join in the Stitch along for You’re the Boss! I was all in! You can watch more on my YouTube video about the stitch along and what products I am stitching with!

You can personalize the pattern with a free Lori Holt alphabet and make the center say what you want or what you are the boss of! You can get the details about the stitch along here:

It’s not too late to join in! Cross stitch has been very meditative for me. I also like that I don’t need to overwhelm my brain with decisions as the pattern and floss choices are all made for me. I need a project that is safe to do when I am having a bad day with Long Covid no rotary cutter or power tools are needed. I can pick it up and put it down quite easily, too.

Happy Stitching!
